March 8th signals International Women’s Day, a day that has promoted equal rights and women’s suffrage for more than a hundred years. It is clear that the gender divide has lessened significantly in the UK in recent years.
Clare Vaughan FCCA ACA was the first female director appointed to Kelsall Steele Ltd in 2011 and is proud to be a director of one of the largest independent accountancy practices in Cornwall.
Clare heads up the firm’s Corporate Department and her main focus is on client relationships, business development, company profit extraction, due diligence exercises, audit and charity specialisms.
“I see myself first and foremost as a business development accountant but am also very aware I am a female director in a profession that has historically been male driven. I am keen to push all of our staff forward with equal opportunities to grow themselves and their role within Kelsall Steele”.
Kelsall Steele Ltd is proud to have women in senior positions, including Cara Dale: business director; Lisa Middleton: payroll manager; and Michelle Dash: business services manager; all of whom are highly valued members of the firm and part of its long-term future.
